  Friendly service and yummy brisket. Dine in or takeout, it's always fresh and tasty. The brisket sandwich comes with a hefty portion of tender meat and a nicely toasted buttery bun. For sides, the baked potato casserole is mildly salted but with a lot of flavor, the baked beans are sweet and tangy and the Mac and cheese is perfectly creamy.

  Dickey's BBQ Pit nestled in the heart of south Florida has a real heart of the Deep South. Swine? Check. Taters? Check. Corn bread? Check.  Cheap ass lunch special including all of the above for 11 dollars? Check and Check.
  
  We rolled in here trying to find a new food place to chow down at. I had passed by Dickey's in the little shopping plaza in a rage of unrelated American consumption and figured Dickey's might be all that I need .
  
  Dickey's has lunch specials at 11 dollars a tray for different offerings on each day of the week. While I think we were in on a wednesday (pork sandwich special) what we were really drooling for was that sweet sweet rib. Dude at the counter was real cool and told us we could have any of the weekly specials since it was our first time getting Dickey's.
  
  All of us got ribs which did not disappoint. For sides, I tried the beans, green beans, corn, and mashed taters. Both the beans and corn delivered. Also on point was the corn bread biscuit that comes with all orders. Where Dickey's loses a point was that the taters and the mac n cheese (reported by my associate) were a little dry.
  
  Overall Dickey's is a good place to go get those riblets. Solid 4/5.

  If something doesn't change here soon, this place isn't staying open much longer. Nice decor, but the ordering process is awkward. The counter is pretty high with lots of signage blocking any visibility, so maybe that's the reason people aren't being acknowledged while they're standing there waiting to order. The staff was awkward to, not leading you to the next step. I felt like I had to keep prodding to get to the next step.
  
  The price is ok, but the food just wasn't great, it was just ok. First of all, there was no sweet tea. How's that possible in a BBQ place? The baked beans tasted like pork & beans from a can, the baked potato casserole was just doctored up mashed potatoes, the roll was dense and blah, and the meat was meh. I went back for a parfait dessert and that's the worst purchase I've made in awhile. I'm actually pissed at myself for ignoring that little voice that told me not to do it. They didn't even have wet naps. Idunno, but there's nothing here compelling me to return and given the fact that this place is still empty at 7 PM on a Friday night except for one other table, I think a lot of people agree with me.

  I was very happy to see that there was a Dickey's location in Miami.  I was a big fan of this chain when I lived in Dallas TX for a year.  The order taking in this Miami location by FIU was more complicated than what I remember from the TX chain locations.  Here the meat and sides were on different sides of the counter with different order takers.  Maybe this was an unfortunate result of the space rented for this location.  As usual the quality of the meat at Dickey's was great.  Their meat benefits from the 4 different sauces that are located near the drinks and silverware.  In past experiences in TX, they put the sauce on for you when they prepared the meat.  The bottom line for any Dickey's location is that they offer good BBQ value for the money.  The brisket and pork are my go to's.  Enjoy.

  I came here because I had a craving for southern food. I was satisfied but nothing more than that. It reminded me of a chipotle version of a down south traditional restaurant. Pretty good food nothing exceptional just good. I had the chicken breast plate with two sides (baked beans and Mac and cheese) it also came with a dinner roll that I enjoyed. Overall a good restaurant.
